Longtime fans of The Damnwells likely assumed these days would never come — a time when the band would return to its original line-up and move beyond the frustrations and wounds that had been inflicted over the years. The pop/rock band had flirted with fame for years on the strength of their instantly memorable melodies, but road life, dashed expectations, industry issues and the like took their toll. Front man Alex Dezen and company had parted ways. The road back, if there was one, was overgrown.
