As a writer, the search for inspiration is (for me) a somewhat random process. Some song ideas come from the mundane details of daily life; some from places I least expect or can explain. The closest source I have to a "sure thing" is to visit the Santa Barbara coast, where I just spent Thanksgiving. The ocean and mountains, combined with the many close friends and memories that reside there never fail to create the catalyst for a new song. "King City", "Nothing I Can Say" and "Scene of the Crime" were all finished while taking in the view below, and look for a new song "Roll with The Tide" to come out in early 2012 to add to my California Coastal collection.
